About NepMed

NepMed (Nepal Medline) is a national open-access, full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature, developed and maintained by the Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC). The platform provides access to peer-reviewed scholarly articles and metadata across a wide range of disciplines including medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, public health, and allied health sciences.

NepMed serves as a central repository that enhances the visibility, accessibility, and discoverability of Nepalese biomedical research. It links researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to evidence-based information essential for advancing health outcomes and supporting national health priorities.

The NepMed system is managed under the NHRC Library, where it is technically operated and coordinated by Mr. Chandra Bhushan Yadav, Library and Information Officer, who also serves as the Member Secretary of the NepMed System. Under his leadership, the NHRC Library team has overseen the development, indexing, and maintenance of the platform, as well as the training of editors, authors, and researchers in best practices for scholarly publishing and open access dissemination.

NepMed reflects NHRC’s commitment to strengthening research infrastructure, promoting open access, and aligning national biomedical publishing standards with international frameworks such as PUBMED Central., COPE, ICMJE, and DOAJ.
