Mixed Variant of Acrokeratosis verruciformis of Hopf: A rare entity
(Society of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists of Nepal (SODVELON), 2021) Jain, Sonia P; Sonkusale, Pratiksha; Deshmukh, Abhay Vilas; Kumari, Pallavi
Abstract: Acrokeratosis verruciformis of Hopf (AKV) is a rare autosomal dominant genodermatosis of unknown etiology. Here we present a case of a 20-year-female with multiple skin-colored flat papules over the dorsum of hands and feet interspersed with multiple hypopigmented macular lesions of 5 years duration. No family member showed a similar lesion. The presence of classical AKV with absent family history and definite histopathology findings make this case an unusual and rare entity.

Urticaria: As a Presenting Symptom in an Asymptomtic COVID 19 Patient
(Society of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists of Nepal (SODVELON), 2022) Jain, Sonia; Sonkusale, Pratiksha; Deshmukh, Artilata; Ramteke, Komal
Abstract: The global pandemic COVID‐19 presents with typical respiratory and extrapulmonary clinical manifestations. This has also been associated with a variety of rare dermatological manifestations predominantly in asymptomatic patients. Here, we present a unique case of a 33‐year‐old male, with acute urticaria not responding to routine drug treatment but tested positive for COVID‐19. We report this case as urticaria can be an initial manifestation of COVID‐19 without any other clinical findings. Taking this suspicion into consideration, timely diagnosis, treatment and transmission of the SARS‐COV‐2 infection can be prevented.
