Expanded dengue syndrome is a term first introduced in 2011, which refers to unusual and severe involvement of the liver, kidney, brain or heart in association with dengue. The following series of six expanded dengue syndrome cases fills the lacunae of knowledge gaps in this field. All the six cases of age groups between one month to 18 years presented to our hospital. The patients had life-threatening complications including acute liver failure, acute pancreatitis, myocarditis, pericardial effusion, encephalitis, pulmonary edema, acute kidney injury, and acute liver failure. The children were diagnosed as expanded dengue syndrome and managed thus. Early detection and intervention of children with expanded dengue syndrome can be very beneficial in decreasing the mortality and morbidity of dengue.
