dc.description.abstract | Abstract Allergic Fungal Sinusitis (AFS) is believed to be an allergic reaction of the sinus mucosa to environmental fungi that is finely dispersed into the air. We present a 23 year old man who presented to us with a unilateral nasal mass with foul smelling discharge and headache. Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) was performed. Microbiology and histopathological examination of the mass confirmed it to be a case of AFS. Key words: Allergic fungal sinusitis, Nasal polyps, FESS | |
